If the petition is selected through lottary, would my employer have received response on the same? Or I will need to wait till USCIS mails the confirmation???

There will be no response for lottery. Your employer/attorney will be notified if receipted. If rejected by lottery, packet will be returned with the fees - which you may not know till mid-may
