I am working on H1b. I plan to take a break from work. My husband also holds a valid H1b and his employer has filed for my COS from H1b to H4. The COS was filed last month. My question is at what point can I go ahead and leave my job.

After filing the COS you can leave your H1B job any time. Till your COS to H4 is approved, you will be in a ‘period of authorised stay’ so no need to worry about your legal status.
