When can i apply for EAD - H4 Visa started from April 2016.

Hi,

I have recently(July) come to US with H4 dependent Visa. My husband is on H1B visa, Do i need to wait for him to be on H1B for 6 Years before i apply for H4-EAD . Can i apply now? Please clarify

2 options:

  1. You wait for him to complete 6 years on H-1B and then apply for EAD

  2. His employer applies Green Card for him. Once I-140 has been approved, EAD can be applied for you.
