What to select for "Eligibility for 48 months interview waiver"?

I am filling appointment form to check whether I am eligible for interview waiver or not.

My visa stamp expired in Sept 2020. I will be visiting India in Dec 2024 for visa stamping. While filling the visa waiver interview, which is today (July 18) I have answered “yes” to my visa expired in last 48 months. But when I visit in December it will be beyond 48 months .

My question is should your visa appointment date be within the last 48 months or when I pay my visa fee or book my appointment , my visa should be in the 48 month window ?

Because now I am within the 48 months window but when I visit in December I will over this 48 months window

Pls help clarify, thanks

Waiver doesn’t count visa stamp date, it counts previous visa within 48 months meaning if you stayed in US and had extension or change of status that falls under 48 months as well

If your appointment date is not within 48 months of the last visa stamping date, you should answer NO to the question and go for an interview.
