What is AD and Non AD H1B Processing ?

Can anybody tell me What is AD and Non AD H1B Processing ? I am new to H1B processing, I know what is RP and what is PP.

Theres lots of resources online that explain this. AD is the masters quota which gives you a better chance in the lottery.

There is no use in giving non-proper information to the folks looking for something important, H1B aspirant, AD has no better chances on the lottery, they are competing in a different pool, they have their own number of applications to be picked (in example this year of 2017 65,000 applications for non-AD and 20,000 for AD…and USCIS have received this year about 199k application for both (there is no official count of each ad/non-AD applications) so AD’s applications will go for their 20,000 and non-AD for their 65,000.
