What happens to dropbox appointment if one spouse can't make it

I have a dropbox appointment scheduled for H1 with my spouse (H4). I want to divorce my spouse once I reach India. Can I just drop off my passport and documents for the appointment? Or, do I need to change the appointment to remove my spouse from the appointment?

If you dont submit the documents for your spouse the visa fees for the person will be forfeited.

Thanks for the response. So, I can drop off my stuff and get visa stamping done. That should remain unaffected. Right?
