There is no concrete answer to this question. It will depend upon your qualifications and the requirements for the permanent green card position offered to you. Is your employer willing to sponsor GC? I have heard that Indian IT giants are reluctant to sponsor GC.

As each case is different there is no way to check it. In general, this is how it goes. Your employer will make a request that they need a candidate who has XX degree and knows AA, BB, CC and DD. You need to satisfy all those requirements. Your employer will also ensure that they will pay you as per the market wages for that role. If these are satisfied and you have maintained legal status all along, then chances of approval are high.
