Waiting time for H1 B approval

Hi ,

My application was filed on June 4 2012 and the status is Initial Review. Its been close to 3 months the status has not been changed. I see some applications filed on June 10 2012 have received the approval . How long it takes normally for the approval and is there a way to check if the application is opened or last modified.

Processing times varies from petition to petition. it is not in the filled in order for all the cases. Generally we can expect in 90days Plus. Therer is no way to check whether your application is opened or not.
