Visitor visa extended stay RFE: self sponsored funds

My mother arrived in the U.S. on a B1/B2 visa, and her initial 6-month stay is nearing its end. She applied for a 3-month extension, indicating self-sponsorship on her I-539 form. Subsequently, she received a Request for Evidence (RFE) requesting financial documents. How much funding does she need to show in her bank statements to support her extended stay?

Additionally, can we clarify in the response to the RFE that her living expenses will be covered by her daughter during her visit? Would this be contradictory to her initial statement of self-sponsorship on the I-539 form?

She can provide bank statements with enough balance to cover her lodging and boarding expenses for 3 months.
Because she filed self sponsored extension, it will be contradictory if she provides sponsorship docs. If she doesn’t ha e enough bank balance she can suppliment with the sponsorship docs from her daughter.
