Visa interview Mumbai on 20th Nov Flight on 25th Nov

Hi All,

I have my visa appointment on 20th Nov 2012 and ofc on 19th . My flight is on 25th Nov.

I am not sure if everything goes smooth will i receive my passport before 25th?

22 Nov is thanks giving holiday for Mumbai consulate.

Can I ask my passport to the consular officer ( to get there it self on same day)?

I dont think they will give it you back right after the interview if you are approved.

As far as I know, in Chennai there is a separate place of the US consulate office where we can go and collect our passport the same day in the evening. This is before they courier it out. I got mine in 2008 the same day. Check if you have any similar options like that in Mumbai.
