Under process L1 extension petition amendment

Hi,
My L1B extension is filed and it is under process. However, due to some business reasons for my company, the project and client both are being changed from what has been mentioned in L1B extension petition. My question is - can we amend the under process L1B extension petition for this change? I know that L1 approved petitions can be amended, but what about the under process L1B extension petition?

If there are no material changes in the employment like job role, position or location, amendment may not be needed even if client changes. Discuss your situation with your employer’s immigration lawyer and follow their advice.

Thanks for your answer. I got what you are saying. But, the question is, can in-process L1 extension be amended if required?

You can file the new amended L1 petition and request for the withdrawal of the existing under processing petition.
