Travelling outside the country while MTR (motion to reopen ) is pending

My new H1b got denied and employer applied for the MTR (Motion to open ) last month.Now i have an emergency travel.Can i travel outside the country, while MTR is in pending status.?? Generally how much time it will take for MTR processing…??

MTR is not approvable if you leave the country. It is abandoned once you leave the country. If you are not on any status and just waiting on the MTR resolve then it is best to leave the country and try to file a new H1B. If you have any other legal status then you are good to go but the MTR will be denied once you leave the country…
