During the time of H4 visa renewal in US, we just noticed my son’s passport expired. Indian embassy gives us 3 years from expiry to renew the passport. So, I thought we are good at passport renewal timing while in US. But, to avoid staying more days in US after H4 Visa expiry, my Dependents travelled to India with an emergency passport for my son within a month of H4 visa expiry. They completed the drop box appointment. Currently the status shows as Refused with below description.
A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. Anyone has faced similar situation of travelled out of US after H4 visa expiry and went for a visa stamping in India? What will be the case in this situation?
