Travel with H4 when H1 already approved

Hi ,

I am in India … I have a valid H4 .

My H1B is approved and stamping not yet done…

Please let me know whether can I travel with H4 and do a transfer to H1 after going to US

or

do I defintely need to go for stamping of H1B stamping in India .

Please reply me in priority which option is better ?

You can enter on H-4 visa. Later the same employer can file COS for you from H-4 to H-1, or a new employer can file a cap-exempt petition for you along w/ COS. Once approved, you can work on H-1.
