Travel to India when filed for H4 + EAD(application in process)

Filed H4+EAD(jointly effective future date) for my spouse who is in L1 Visa,
Now we got a urgent travel plan to India, can we travel to India when our H4+EAD application is in process ?

Please advise … Thank you

Change of status application may be abandoned and denied if the adjudication happens while the applicant is outside of the US.
