Travel to India close to F1 Visa Expiry Date

Hello,

I have to travel to India to attend sisters marriage. My F1 Visa expires Oct 19 and I will be back to USA on October 14th. My OPT ends mid January. Could you tell me if there will be any problem with immigration?

Well, technically your visa is valid and you can enter. For H1B Visa, we have seen people with around 10 days left enter successfully, but you would be really close to the date and it is F1 visa, so we do not have enough info…I would suggest you check with your DSO once and confirm, if it will be fine…
