Travel outside U.S.A (India) with current visa , I-94 expired and ext pending?

Hi,I would need your suggestion on my tricky situation. My I-94 expired on Jan 2016 but H1 expires in Aug 2016. Due to my I-94 expiry soon I had applied for extension in sep 2015 but still extension decision pending. So while my extension is in pending, can I travel outside U.S.A. With my current visa? If yes, what will happen to my extension and my I-94.

And also I would be back to U.S.A in 2 weeks. So can I go to India and come back to U.S.A. In above situation?

You are allowed to leave and reenter the US when I-94 is expiring as long as visa is valid.

To return to US you need an approved 797 and a valid visa stamp. As long as you have that, you can leave US and return to US. Your extension would be considered abandoned and a new EoS needs to be applied.
