travel on B2 when H1B in process !

Hi Saurabh,

I have my H1 under process this year and I need to go to US for a week to visit my friend. I have my B1/B2, so just wanted to know from you that is it OK if I travel as a tourist when my H1 is under process? Will there be any problems at the port of entry? I haven't even received my receipt after my H1 filing so is it good to go?

I think, that shouldn’t be an issue as long as you use B1/B2 for its purpose only and keep the stay as minimum as possible.
