Travel home and return on active H1b, safe/risky?

Hi all,
Due to some family emergency, I have to travel for a week as soon as possible(Aug/Sept). My current H1b visa stamp is valid until Feb2021, I’m currently in the USA since February of this year 2020. My employer started the H1b renewal process last week.

I haven’t found much info on this- if anyone actually traveled and returned on active H1b without problems except this report here:

It looks like at least in USA immigration it was not a problem. Still, I’m scared of all the EOs that keep posing suddenly. And if my H1b renewal process will create any problems returning?
