transfer of H1B to the new employer when i switch job at offshore possible?

two questions:

  1. Is it possible to transfer H1B to the new employer when i switch job at offshore? or does this work only for onsite switch.

  2. I have been in US for arnd 3.5 yrs only, in my whole H1 B cycle. Can i apply for H1 extension saying that the visa duration was not completely utilised?

  1. Yes it is possible. The new employer might just ask you to appear for the stamping interview, but it is not a necessity.

  2. Yes, but only if you held a valid H1 during the last 6 years.
