transfer H1B or not ?? desi consultancy company in New Jersey

Presently I am working for a big desi IT company in India for last 7 years and never been to us, this year 1 desi consultancy company (located at new jersey) filed my H1B which is approved and stamped, they told me to resign and I am now serving notice period in my company.

now my previous to previous project manager (present company) called me and said there is an US onsite and if I am willing to go ? (I think he found me suitable as I worked for him in that project for more than 3 years) and he did not know that I am serving notice period but I told him the same and about US opportunity. he is asking me that if I am interested he can transfer my visa and send me to US from my present company only.

friends, I really don’t know what should I do, should I choose the consultancy or my company for onsite, I have no idea the way of work of the consultancy company.

can anyone pls tell me which one I should select ? desi consultancy in US (New Jersey) or my present company

Salary is almost same for both.

That’s ur choice, see which is paying U good… Also Reputation, Client and all…

Transfer might takes few weeks to months, so if u r ready for that, U can think and plan accordingly

Mine is almost similar case. I have h1 b visa approved for 3 years. But employer does want me join right now due to some reasons. I have never travelled to US on my H1B visa. Is it possible to get this transferred to another company in US? Will it required Visa stamping again ? How it went in your case? Please share your experience.
