Once we get the visa stamped, is it expected to travel immediately to US? The context behind this question being, since the petitions are approved based on project dates, if there is a gap between stamping date and actual travel will it be a reason to worry at port of entry ?
There are more chances of being asked about the long gap between stamping date and actual travel at POE. However if you are able to clearly state the reason for the gap; like family reasons…etc you can convince the immigration officer at POE. They may like to check with your employer at POE. So please make sure that you talk to your employer in U.S well in advance regarding your situation and sync up the reason to be stated for late entry to U.S.
