I want to share our recent experience in Texas to get our drivers license extended.
My wife has get h1b extension in processing still. We visited the DMV requesting for extension. We were denied our first visit, but however during this visit the officer put a request in his system for validating lawful presence. We received 2 letters in sequence of week difference. First one stated department of safety has requested uscis for the same and clarification pending and the second one saying it’s verified and we can proceed to driver license office to get the license.
Hola, my wife now has her license. This experience is recent - December 2017.
