Hi,
I have applied H1B with my old passport which does not have full surname but just first letter as ‘M’. And all the stamping documents, DS-160 have just one letter of surname. However, while renewal of passport, they asked me to expand the surname otherwise they will not issue a new passport. Due to that, I had no option and went with a full surname.
Now, I have a question, expansion of surname will be a problem in Visa interview. I have support documents like Aadhar card, birth certificate and I can be able to explain them why expansion was not done previously and why now. But will they hear me? Please advise. Thank you.,
