My query regarding inclusion of spouse name in Passport. Understood marriage certificate to be produced as proof, but in marriage certificate surname changed to my Surname. My wife passport has different surname. In FAQ of Passport.gov.in we have
Q27: I am a married lady and want to apply for a fresh passport. I am unable to provide the prescribed marriage certificate or joint affidavit due to marital discord or separation. What should I do?
A: Married applicants are not required to provide any marriage certificate or joint affidavit.
So can I proceed without marriage certificate to add spouse name in my passport to apply for my child passport.
