I’m currently working with a reputed manufacturing OEM as a Software Engineer with designation/job title X. I’m on H1B visa. I have got an opportunity to move to a different position as Systems Engineer within my department. Systems Engineer will be responsible for the requirements, system design of the software product etc… Note that in the new position as Systems Engineer, designation/job title will remain same i.e, X . My I-140 is approved with Occupation Title as: Software Developers, Systems Software with Job Title as X.
For better career prospects and pay, I would like to move to new position as Systems Engineer. I’m an Indian citizen and priority date to become current may take many years.
Before I make a move, I would like to know if there will be any impact to my H1B or GC process?
