SEVIS fees transfer for different session but same school and branch.

I need to know whether I should go with SEVIS Id fees transfer.

I am going to avail drop box facility in India tomorrow. I couldn’t join the session in Spring-2018, but have applied and received I-20.for Fall-2018 for the same school and same branch.While I was going through the below link https://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/2017/06/students-sevp-now-accepts-online-i-901-sevis-fee-transfer-requestsI understand that we don’t need to transfer the SEVIS fees, until and unless school is changing. kindly advice.

I have applied to a university for Fall 2021 and got I20, as my visa got rejected and now I have differed my admission to Spring 2022 to another university. So, do I need to transfer my SEVIS to the second university before getting an I20 from the second university? How should I proceed with this, do I need to mail my first university to transfer the SEVIS to the second university. Please let me know how should I proceed on this.

Yes, you need to transfer your SEVIS record. Talk to your DSO.
