Regarding H4 to F1 Visa Stamping

Hi Team,

I am on H4 visa and started by MS in Oct 2017, I am planning to goto India in Feb 2018 and planning to move from H4 to F1. I am having few queries :

i) My new I20 states admission date as March 2018 but on H4 I am already studying. Will there be any issues at visa stamping?

ii) If will have all my documents of my spouse on H1 is enough ? or do I need to have any documents from India.

  1. It should not. Carry your admission letter and your status details.

  2. F1 visa is different from H4. You will need to carry all the documents for F1 stamping. You will not be a dependent of your spouse, so it is different.
