Regarding H1 Stamping

I have applied for H1 Visa ( all india address) and here are my doubts.

Currently i have H4 visa , My spouse works in USA and myself in india

I have applied for H1, Suppose I got selected in lottery

If i travel to USA before october1, and say somewhere in august .

In October my petition gets approved

Whether in need to go back to india for h1 visa stamping?

You would have two options:

  • apply for COS while continuing to stay in US. Once approved, you can work on H-1. No travel outside of US required.

  • leave US and return after getting H-1 visa stamped
