My 17 months STEM OPT is valid till 11-15-2016, so I have 133 days from today(07-05-2016) which is less than 150 days eligibility for the 7 months STEM OPT Extension. The delay was due to the immigration advisor at my University as she was on vacation, I was waiting on her response. I would like to know if I’m still eligible for the extension.
P.S: The Issue date on my I20 is more than 150 days. As I had a question regarding this process I was waiting for her response & caused delay. I have enclosed a letter from immigration advisor regarding her absence and delay caused for applying my 7 months STEM OPT in the application packet that I sent to USCIS today (07-05-2016).
