Query related to my qualification for applying H1B visa.

I am a BBA graduate (passed 2007) through distance education. I have been informed 3 years back that my application will be rejected as my work experience does not match with my qualification, so I dropped the plan at that time and started preparing for BCA so that I can apply this year.

Now, I have couple of questions

  1. Since my BCA graduation will be from this year (passed 2015), will my previous experience of 7 years be counted or would I have to start fresh?

  2. My degree is through distance education from a private recognized university. Would this be a problem?

  3. Having Dual degree would cause any issues?

  4. Is it possible to file the application before my official results of graduation are released?

Thanks:
Anil

  1. Since my BCA graduation will be from this year (passed 2015), will my previous experience of 7 years be counted or would I have to start fresh?

Ans: If your experience is related to your qualification with which you are seeking visa, yout experience from any time counts.

  1. My degree is through distance education from a private recognized university. Would this be a problem?

Ans: If it is UGC recognized, good possibility for the visa qualification.

  1. Having Dual degree would cause any issues?

No

  1. Is it possible to file the application before my official results of graduation are released?

If your degree needs to be used in the process, such degree must be completed and pre-certified before it can be presented as a part of your eligibility for the visa.

Bottom line: Better get your education evaluation done to get your doubts cleared.

Thanks for the details @ImmiGeek.

I have a follow up question, the current graduation which I am pursuing is through regular mode. However, it is in parallel to my work experience, would that be a problem?

I mean will they consider it as regular degree or should I remove my recent work experience to be safe?

It can be parallel… no issues…
