Putting Money into investment while on H1B

Hi! I just have a quick question, I do have some money saved up and rather than it just staying in the bank with 0.01% interest, I was wondering if I could just put in a credit union sharing account and earn dividend. Will this be a problem with the USCIS if I am earning extra money outside of my work stated in my H1B Visa? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Thank you!

There is no dumb question. Its alright.

H1b visa does not restrict you from any investment. You can do both long and short term investment. Do research on it on google.

This is just an advice, not a legal opinion.
Thanks!

I have also saving account getting 2.1% from Discover why you are going for credit union with 0.01% once you have open option.
I never seen a queston why you have money? well it is my money if their bank giving me what is the deal.
when I file the tax return then I can show whatever profit I earn and how much of that payable as tax.
I have been paying huge taxes here.
