Place of birth change in the passport

Hello, I’m currently married and my i-140 is approved with priority date in April 2015.

Currently my wife’s Indian passport has place of birth of a town in India. She was actually born in Dubai and moved to India when she was a child. Upon talking to my wife’s parents I came to know that we can get birth certificate from Dubai if needed.

Checking if I can use the birth certificate to update place of birth in her Indian passport? Does it have any implications on our green card processing?
Please advise. Thanks

Shouldn’t be any issue. In fact your green card can process based on your spouse birth country and can help you get it faster than being in the India queue.

You may need to file amendment based on your wife’s birth certificate and new passport.
