Picked up in the H1-B lottery on April 11, 12 months OPT expires on June 7th. Should i apply for 24 months Extension?

Nobody knows about form I-983 and all the hassle filling out the form.Or should i just count on my blessings and go with the Cap Gap extension hoping H1-B gets approved.

Things to watch out:

  1. What is H-1 is denied and you don’t apply for cap-gap

  2. What if H-1 is not approved by Oct 1. Your cap-gap will end and you will be in the 60 day grace period.
