While filling US visa stamping applicant profile

Start Date: Is this I797 Petition receipt date? or approval date?NAME:Receipt Number:Expiration Date: Is this Approval end date?

Filled my H1 transfer normal and got my receipt date Oct2015 and started working from Nov2015 , petition got approved on Jun2016.What date should i give in PETITIONER start date?

Are you referring to the field in DS-160 form? That needs to be start date mentioned in the 797 approval document. If it was approved in June 2016, then it has to be that date.
