Petition filed on Apr 2013, VISA stamping in May 2014, is this possible?

Hi,

My name is Goswami Ravindragiri Gopalgiri. My H1B filing was done in Apr 2013.

I have not receive my documents yet, which are required for H1B VISA stamping. The company through which I applied, says they will start H1B visa stamping process in May 2014, because they have not received project yet.

I am able to check the status [uscis.gov](https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do) with the given receipt number. There the status is "Post decision Activity" and it shows below given message.

Is it possible that H1B petiion filed in April 2013, it's VISA process can be done in 2014 May?

Shall I still wait or they are cheating me.

		Thanks,

		Goswami Ravindragiri.

Yes, you can appear for visa stamping in May as long as the petition has not expired and your employer still wants to hire you for the US position. You may be asked about the delay and you can tell them that your employer was looking for projects etc. Do carry all the recently dated documents when appearing for stamping including a recent employment letter, client/project letter etc.

Why the heck did you get H-1B without any projects!!!???

I got my petition approved on September 2014 and I didn’t go to stamping yet… they are. some companies are like that. Please ignore this company and start trying with other options, don’t waste your time.
