Passport renewal after scheduling dropbox appointment for F1 visa renewal

Hi,

I am applying for an F1 visa renewal. I had scheduled for dropbox on 13th Feb (the day I arrived in India). Unfortunately, my passport got damaged on the same day and Bangalore Dropbox VAC asked to renew the passport and reschedule the dropbox appointment. However, I’m unable to change the passport number in the ustraveldocs profile.

Will I need to create a new profile and repay MRV fees?

Please advise!

You probably need to create a New DS-160, if you cannot edit and use that to book appointment. Speak to the Customer Service and get it update. You may not need to repay the MRV fees, but need to explain to them and ask for manual linking. Speak to them or email them. Update here for community benefit too.
