My passport is expiring in a year’s time (Jan 2023). I am applying for a US L1A visa for 3 years. I have filled and paid the MRV fee but I don’t have an interview appointment date yet. I wanted to clarify if my passport expiry will have any impact on the Visa because i read at some places that the passport should remain valid beyond 6 months of stay period.
India is exempt from 6 months rule however you need passport valid till the expected visa duration otherwise visa duration will match your passport expiry. Better renew your passport before your interview.
