My parents have 10 years visa b1/b2, i have heard that they must travel to US within next one year of getting the visa otherwide it get cancelled. Is it true?

This is not correct - non-immigrant visa validity is not linked to travel except where potential for change exists such as H1B, L1 or a visa where employment was promised at time of visa issue but too much time has lapsed since then. B1 visa sometimes is in that category but B2 has no time limitations on travel except for the dates indicated in the visa
