My husband and I went through the visa interview today in chennai office. The officer said that the visas are approved and they will send the confirmation through email and sms but retained the original petition along with the passports. When my husband asked if he take the petition back, the officer told that she needs it for processing the visa and that it will be sent along with the passport. But my worry is that all his colleagues have been given back the petition.
Since this is the first time , we got bit tensed and did not fill the courier form too. Now we have to go in person to collect it i guess. Will the docs be safe? I understand the petition is the most imp doc of all, but not sure why it was not given back. Please help…
