I am working on L2-EAD (vlaid till May 2014) for Company A, Company B filed H1-B. I received case approved notice from comany B. In the received I-797A form, i noticed,1-94 details as (class H1, valid from 12/1/2013 to 06/5/2015). Do i need to start work for Company B. I want to continue to work for Comapny A for another 4 months and chnage to Company B after that, Please let me know the process that i need to follow.
You have to work for B from 12/1/2013 as your status is now H-1. You should stop working for A immediately.
If you want to work for A, then you have two options:

File for COS from H-1 to L-1. This may run into issues as you haven’t maintained H-1 status since 12/1

Leave US and return on L-1 visa. This will put you back in L-1 status. Later you can move to H-1 status by filing COS from L-1 to H-1. You can run into issues again at this point if they ask about H-1 status since 12/1 until the time you left US.
