No I-797A from previous employer

Hi All,

My H1B with previous employer was approved in 2019 for 3 years. I received only I-797C but not I-797A or I-94 from the employer. They said that they have received only I-797C.

I recently made an H1B transfer to a new employer and got an extension approved for 3 years. Now I have a copy of I-797A with I-94 attached.

I am planning to go for dropbox this year in India. Do I need a I-797A with I-94 from the previous petition for my visa stamping? Or the current I-797A copy is enough?

You only need current/valid I-797 for stamping, ofcourse along with other supporting documents.
