Need to change the passport number

Hi All,

My petition got picked in Lottery for this year (FY-2017). Now i need to change my passport as i need to add my spouse name and change of address in my passport. If i get new passport then it will have new passport number. and it would be different passport number what i gave to my employer during LCA request and I129.

My question is , it will create any issue if i have two different passport ( One is old one which i gave to employer for visa request and another one which i am going to add my spouse name) when i go for visa stamping ? is it acceptable by USCIS?

Change in passport number is ok. You should carry the most recent one when appearing for visa interview.

The new passport will have old passport number mentioned as reference. So they are really not separate but form a chain.
