My new employer hasn't received original form I-797 from USCIS (maybe lost at a post)

Hello Experts,

I recently switched from old comany to new company on bases of H1B transfer case.
My new employer hasn’t received original form I-797 from USCIS (maybe lost at a post) but got the petition number and according to egov.uscis.gov petition status is “Case Was Approved”. As well I got scan copy of I-797 along with email from my employer that original copy could not be received from USCIS.
My employer told that when he called to USCIS and informed that the original I797 was never received then USCIS emailed a soft copy to him.

Is that scanned/soft copy along with letter from employer is enough for VISA stamping (when ever my current visa from old employer expires)?
Do I need orginal I797 when reeneter to USA?

Should we request a duplicate copy which is a cost of 485$ and attorney fees?

Kindly advise.

Thanks,

This is completely fine.

You dont but carry any email correspondence with USCIS that your employer had when they informed USCIS about the missing original approval notice.
