My employer has submitted the RFE response by September 12 but still the status in the website shows RFE

Hi All

My petition was picked in lottery on April 2015 , I got my RFE on June 29.

My employer has submitted the RFE response by September 12 but still the status in the

website shows RFE .

Can anyone please let me know the processing time for RFE and is RFE a good sign .

Hi,

Even mine is the same.

Rfe submitted on sep 11th.
Still the status is not changed to response received.
And it’s premium processing.
How about yours ?
Vermont center. Is yours the same ?

It may take anywhere from 2-6 months. There is no set processing time period.

thanx OK some times without RFE review status directly changed to approved is it true

If USCIS is satisfied with the information and documents submitted with initial filing, they would approve it.

If they need additional information, they would issue RFE and initiate processing once RFE response is received. Once reviewed they will either approve it or deny it.

Both routes are possible.
