My employer filed my petition on 23rd of may.But i still havent got reciept number or any communication on petition.Many of my friends have got thier recipt numbers.How long does it take for petition numbers to come and will my petition count under the cap?
There is recent update from USCIS that their will delay in Issuing Recipt number due large volumes of pettion.
If you have submitted your documents properly then 100% you will be in the cap.
USCIS haven’t updated about the quota yet. Assuming your petition has reached USCIS with in a couple of days, your petition is very well under the cap.
But as far as the acknowledgement from USCIS is concerned, it is going to take time.
