Make 2 employees file for H1B visa

Hello,

I did my Masters from a reputed US University. And was unlucky last year, as my Visa application was rejected in a lottery and my OPT also ended. After that, I have been on F2 (spouse of F1) visa. This year, I was lucky enough to have job offers my 2 big firms in the US. And now, this puts in trouble more,

  1. It is legal to have 2 companies to sponsor for your visa?

  2. If yes, and if one of my applications comes in the lottery, and the other does not, I still have an option of the job. But what if, both the applications get selected in the lottery, what are the consequences ? What should I be doing next and will that put me in any legal trouble?

  3. I need a wise advice as I do not want to make my another year suffer because of this stupid random process.

Any help is really really appreciated.

Thanks

  1. It’s legal if its is from 2 different employers. You can’t apply more than 1 from same employer

  2. You can choose one if both selected. No worries. Employment at will in US - So no legal trouble

  3. You are good to go. I know people who filed 3 petitions from different employers and got thru all…
