I’m working under L1B and my wife has L2 visa. This year my company is filing for the Change of status from L1 to H1B, They said that it is better I don’t travel from April 1st to October 1st.
Is this restriction valid also for my wife? Can she continue to travel with her L2 visa till OCT 1st?
When should I file for her change of status? After Oct 1st or before , when?

It depends. Generally, travel during change of status is considered abandoning the request, so it is best you don’t have any more travel stamps during the process. However if your wife is not applying for change of status the same time as you, her L-2 is a valid travel document for now and until a change is requested.
