L2 Appointment and L1A extension

Hi Folks,

My L2 visa appointment scheduled in April 2022. I never had US visa before. But my husband’s L1A is expiring in Mar 2022 and his company is applying for renewal in March 2022 in premium processing.
But I had taken my appointment using his old petition. Since there’s a renewal petition, should I complete a new DS-160 and take another appointment?

Also his company is getting acquired by another company. Will his renewal petition be approved? Pls suggest.

Ideally you should go for interview with the copy of I797 after your husband’s L1 extension otherwise your visa may be issued up to the expiry of current I797.

Also his company is getting acquired by another company. Will his renewal petition be approved?

Shouldn’t be any issue if the acquiring company is successor in interest and acquire all immigration liabilities.
