L1B to H1B for same employer

Hi,

I tavelled to US in July 2013 for Employer A on L1B visa.

The same employer A had also filed for my H1B in April 2013.

My H1B petetion through the same employer was also approved and is valid till Sep 2016.

I travelled back to India in May 2014 and returned back to US again on L1B visa.

Now i want to transfer to H1B.

1> Will this be a change of status for me?

2> Can this happen while i am in US only?

3> Do i need to go for Visa stamping?

4> Can the stamping be done in Canada or do i need to travel to India?

Can you please provide some input on the above questions?
